Virus Protector(VProtector) is an add-on for mIRC that doubled as a removal script for mIRC worms and also protect your mIRC from worm infection. VProtector can remove common worms such as Karma worms, Nkie worms, Fable virus, simple IRC Backdoor and other malware. You can also use the F-Mirc Worm Scanner by ROSE SWE, Ralph Roth included in VProtector to scan and remove other known and unknown. Virus Protector is based on the known malware file name in order to detect and remove them. Backdoor is detected by scanning for a line of backdoor code in every loaded file in the mIRC folder.
It is packed with other features such as system cleaning, delete a locked file, check for open ports, Url filter in mIRC, nuke protection, DCC protection to block harmful files, select your own anti-virus for scanning received DCC files, links to various free online Virus and Trojan scans, etc.
Requires mIRC 6.15 (will work with earlier version)
Note: This is not a stand-alone program, so you must install it into your mIRC folder and type: /!load -rs VProtector to load it or use the Setup tool to load it automatically. You can find this instruction during installation.
